This bundle is for anyone experiencing mild to moderate diarrhoea including watery or soft stools, fast transit times or a high frequency of bowel movements.

Both of the products in this bundle work in different ways, so taking them together provides optimal benefits if you’re experiencing diarrhoea. Psyllium + Apple Pectincapsules can help provide acute relief by ‘bulking up’ loose stools to make them firmer and also provides a good source of fibre. Whilst our Ultra Probioplex™ Duo live bacteria capsules can support a healthy balanced gut flora with a 8.5 billion live bacteria blend and 6 billion Saccharomyces boulardii (a non-pathogenic yeast).
Psyllium + Apple Pectin features a blend of psyllium husks, activated charcoal, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and apple pectin, the combination of which may help to support normal bowel function and healthy digestion. Psyllium has traditionally been used as a “bulking agent”, and apple pectin is a gel-forming fibre which absorbs water to support firmer stools. Activated charcoal may have “sponge-like qualities” within the intestines to help support healthy bowel movements.
We’ve included Ultra Probioplex™ Duo as it is believed live bacteria supplements can support those with diarrhoea by repopulating beneficial gut bacteria and restoring balance in gut microflora. Particularly useful for those with diarrhoea during or post-antibiotic use, Ultra Probioplex™ Duo contains Saccharomyces boulardii (a non-pathogenic yeast) which is resistant to antibiotics.
Psyllium + Apple Pectin provides a comprehensive blend of psyllium husks, activated charcoal, Lactobacillus, apple pectin and chlorophyll, together with vitamin C and magnesium. We’ve also added Berberine, which has a long history of use in traditional medicine due to its antimicrobial properties. The combination of synergistic ingredients may help to support normal bowel function and healthy digestion. Psyllium is traditionally used as a “bulking agent” and it is high in both fibre and mucilage; and apple pectin provides a source of water-soluble fibre, which is known to be an excellent food source for healthy gut bacteria.
A unique combination of Saccharomyces boulardii and live bacteria that has superior stability. This formula contains 8.5 billion extensively researched live bacteria strains and 6 billion Saccharomyces boulardii. It is ideal for those taking antibiotics because Saccharomyces boulardii, as a yeast, is not inhibited or killed off by antibiotics; and it helps to support a healthy balance of microflora following antibiotic use with a combination of 4 different live bacteria strains. The bacterial strains are L. acidophilusNCFM®, L. paracasei Lpc-37, B. lactis Bi-07® and B. lactis Bi-04.
Ultra Probioplex™ Duo also contains vitamin D and vitamin A to support mucous membranes and immunity.

It is particularly well-suited for during and after antibiotic use, or for those who are travelling.

The vitamin D3 in this product is from lanolin – a vegetarian source of vitamin D3.
Not suitable for patients with a central venous catheter, critically ill patients or for patients with weakened immune function (immunocompromised).

Dosage:
Psyllium + Apple Pectin
6 capsules twice daily with at least 12 oz (350ml) of water, or 4 capsules three times daily with at least 8 oz (230ml) of water, or as directed.

Are there any side effects from taking probiotics?
You may experience a change in bowel function/habits for a few days which may present as a gurgling/wind/change in bowel frequency. This is perfectly natural with taking any probiotic and will generally settle down after a week or so. Reducing the dosage may help alleviate this.
