Each of the supplements in this bundle work in different ways to relieve bloating, from improving poor digestion, to addressing microbial imbalance, providing support for gut health in the long-term to avoid reoccurrence.
Candex SIBO - Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) occurs when there is excessive bacteria in the small intestine; symptoms of which may include indigestion, bloating, and gas. We formulated Candex SIBO to help re-balance the microflora in the small intestine, with added garlic, grapefruit seed extract, berberine, and oregano further helping to support microbial balance in the gut.
Similase - Poorly digested food is another common cause of bloating. Digestive enzymes are produced naturally by the body and help to break down food so our bodies can absorb and utilise essential nutrients, however, factors such as ageing or illness can mean that our ability to create these enzymes may decline. Similase contains a range of digestive enzymes including protease, amylase and lipase, to help support the breakdown of protein, carbohydrate and fat, as well as dietary fibres and sugars.
Ultra Probioplex™ Plus - We’ve also included Ultra Probioplex™ Plus, a live bacteria supplement suitable for everyday use and contains the Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifodebacterium lactis strains of live bacteria which help support healthy gut flora.

Similase is suitable for anyone over the age of 1 requiring extra support for the digestion of proteins, carboyhydrates and fats. May be particularly suitable for those with digestive conditions; or older adults in whom digestive enzyme activity may have declined. Can be taken daily with each meal, or just for over-indulgences.
Not recommended for individuals with gastritis or ulcers.

Are there any side effects from taking probiotics?
You may experience a change in bowel function/habits for a few days which may present as a gurgling/wind/change in bowel frequency. This is perfectly natural with taking any probiotic and will generally settle down after a week or so. Reducing the dosage may help alleviate this.
